The pothos had a kid

We have had a pothos plant for years and she survived an abundance of moves, being heavily cut back, and a cross country trip from MA to CA. We named her Phylli, because we didn't know she was a pothos plant back in the day. In researching pothos, I learned they are also called "Devil's Ivy". What I didn't know was that after years of doing nothing, Phylli was plotting to throw her clone child at us. We were just peacefully watering plants in the sun room and this little bit of the end of one of her vines just jettisoned off. We freaked out about the yeeted youngling, but were confused because it actually looks really healthy. So, apparently it IS healthy. We watched a couple youtube videos, and have cut the vine bit into sections and placed it into water. Apparently those brownish nubbins opposite the leaf stems are root buds, so hopefully those will erupt into roots if we keep the water algae free and in the sunroom. Here is to hoping we get some fun vine clones and Phylli didn't suicide her little vine here.
