Mooma is weird about our Burpee

This is a Burpee self-watering 72 cell seed starting system. Do you see all the little brown circles? Those are dehydrated pucks of growth media, some sort of soil composite that you gotta rehydrated. Do you see how 2 little columns are rehydrated?

Mooma is insane, but on board. After reviewing a powerpoint I made about the seeds I bought on Etsy, she has joined Team Quarantine Gardener. But, not TOO much. She wants to grow, and i'm quoting this sage woman, "just enough". How? Why? What? The Burpee works by sitting the seed trays over an absorbent pad and water reservoir, it has a clear plastic topper and all that. So I said Mooma, why not rehydrate all the cells? If the Burpee is working correctly, it will raise the humidity in there and rehydrate the cells anyway.

No, she says. Then we will be overrun. What?! This isn't World War Z! (Great book, horrible film that I still watch cause I'm a nerd).

Also, you can see the glimmer of a few bell pepper seeds in there because we didn't cover them yet. Also also, the seed trays were too big for the pizza box, so we were doing all this on the bare dining room folding table like true peasants.
