Flashback: my first seeds!

The seeds that started it all! I bought these dumb little cups from Target months ago. While patrolling my house trying not to eat more garbage because I was bored during quarantine, I waddled by them sitting forgotten in the dining room behind some Goodwill glasses. I figured they were duds and besides, water is expensive, and went to waste some water washing my hands again.
Later that morning I walked by them again, I reasoned that I'm not a gardener. We actually have a gardener to take care of our tiny front lawn and do basic maintenance on the trees of the property. Plus, we went this place, why care about plants I might not be able to take with me?
But then I thought, what the Hell, nothing else better to do. And that ambivalence led to my current freefall down the rabbit hole of gardening. Who woulda known?
As for these guys, you see displayed some strawberries doing the best they can, and a tenement of Tiny Tim tomatoes doing the most. I followed the directions on the cups, which recommended I plant a couple seeds, press them in and water them. I planted all the seeds, watered them, and glared at them until they germinated. Unsurprisingly the tomatoes germinated first, I actually had to fight with the strawberries a bit. They are sort of wussy and refused to send up more than two leaves until I used a scrap of paper towel as a diffuser for the light. This is one of the windowsills in my room, it overlooks the recycling and the lane leading to our neighbors.
